The article discusses the efforts of Soviet foreign intelligence aimed at obtaining information on nuclear issues in foreign countries, especially in USA and UK. It is also shown how this information was used for organizing nuclear research in the Soviet Union in order to eliminate the U.S. nuclear monopoly, which existed in the first years after World War II. |
