The article considers the task of forming professional foreign language competence in students of engineering
specialities as a part of their professional competence. The authors describe the system for using newly developed
information and communication technologies in teaching foreign languages, such as wiki, blog, search engines, online
translators, Moodle learning management system, etc. The results of the experiment on using information and
communication technologies aimed at forming professional foreign language competence in students of engineering
specialities are given.
