The paper presents an overview of the project «Creating a system for the training of qualified personnel in the field
of supercomputing technology and specialized software» of the Presidential Commission for Modernization and Technological
Development of the Russian economy (http://i-russia.ru). Main project results include the establishment of a
system of research and educational centers for supercomputing technologies, developing educational and methodological
support for the system of supercomputing education, implementing educational programs for training, retraining
and professional development of personnel, developing the integration of basic and applied research and education in
the sphere of supercomputing technologies, expanding international collaboration and popularizing scientific knowledge
in the area of supercomputing.
