| Universal criteria for classifying different structural types of sentences have been proposed. It is shown that
many types of predication may be converted to the meaning of conditionality. The notions of pragmatic norm and
pragmatic abnormality are introduced to describe the semantico-syntactical structure of sentences in modern English. |
