The influence of heteroatomic organic compounds on thermo-oxidative properties of high-purity hydrotreated diesel fuel has been studied. Organosulphur compounds, such as sulfides and mercaptans in small concentrations, have been found to exert an inhibitory effect on the oxidation of diesel fuel. Carboxylic acids, as well as organonitrogen heterocyclic compounds accelerate the oxidation of diesel fuel. The additives on the basis of substituted phenols can be used to increase the storage life of ecologically pure diesel fuel with ultra-low sulfur content.
