Abstract
Thermal behavior of block copolymer of chitosan and methyl acrylate (molar ratio 1 : 2.4), chitosan and poly(methyl acrylate) has been studied in the 200?600 K region. The heat capacity of chitosan and block copolymer has been studied in the 6?350 K region by the adiabatic vacuum calorimetry technique, thermodynamic functions , H °( T )– H °(0), S °( T )– S °(0) and G °( T )– H °(0) have been calculated from T ? 0 to 350 K. The combustion energy of the block copolymer and chitosan has been measured calorimetrically, their standard enthalpy of combustion and thermodynamic characteristics of formation at T = 298.15 K and p = 0.1 MPa, as well as thermodynamic parameters of the block copolymer synthesis from chitosan and methyl acrylate have been calculated.
