| Periodic cyclical fluctuations in the world economy are investigated in connection with the change of technological waves, and the system of formal and informal institutions is examined. Cyclical nature of economic development in modern conditions has a three-pronged framework: technological, institutional and macroeconomic. The technological component of cyclicality explains the cause of the cycle’s origin; the institutional one, its mechanism; and the macroeconomic one, its manifestation. |
