| We consider the current state of the electric power industry of Russia and the main trends in the power industry in the majority of the developed countries. Economic benefits of introducing Smart Grid technologies in Russia are discussed and some suggestions are made regarding the improvement of the industry’s efficiency through the transition to an innovative type of the electric power engineering development. |
