The paper considers the interaction of derivational and inflectional patterns at different levels of derivation as exemplified by the verbal block of the nest with the apex “light”. The author reveals the regularities of allomorph variation of the root and affixes and the relation of this variation with the type of derivational meaning. An analysis of the peculiarities of the alternation and accentual motivation of the derivates is also provided and the morphemic boundary at different levels of derivation is explored.
