The article presents the results of analysis of the Political Science curriculum of the professional development program for teaching staff and Muslim youth and Muslim religious associations outreach specialists with in-depth knowledge of the history and culture of Islam for the academic year 2011. We have determined reasons, factors and criteria that have a very significant effect on the choice that the students make concerning certain professional development courses on the history and culture of Islam. The key values for those who apply for the professional development programs in the field of youth and religious organizations affairs have been identified on the example of UNN. These values include high quality of knowledge gained from the courses, a wide choice (35) of academic courses, innovative nature of the courses, the possibility of organizing similar courses in youth and religious organizations with in-depth knowledge of the history and culture of Islam.
