Abstract
Single-grain-domain YBaCuO crystals have been grown by the top seed method using single-crystal Sm 1Ba 2Cu 3O 7- ? nuclei. . The crystallized area is shown to be a texture with the «c» axis deviating not more than 4 degrees from the normal to the crystal surface at different points of the domain. The dependence of the domain growth rate on the crystallization temperature has been determined. The layer-by-layer growth of domains has been observed.
