| Two-dimensional MHD simulation results of a ribbed barrier explosively formed fuse opening switch are presented. Mathematical formulation of the problem and the operation of the switch are described. Comparisons between simulated and measured data are given. The mechanisms of switch performance degradation at higher linear current densities are investigated. |
