| The article addresses some peculiarities of interpretation of rhetorical topics in the hand-written rhetorical book compiled in 1766 in the Nizhni Novgorod seminary. Our analysis of one section of this rhetorical book helps to better understand the development of rhetorical education in eighteenth-century Russia, to trace the adaptation of classical rhetorical theory to specific pedagogical aims. |
