We determine the basic parameters of the classical paradigm of art and their metamorphoses under globalization. Modern culture questions and even refutes the boundaries of artistic experience established in classical art . At the same time, the viability of the classical assumes its active involvement in the contemporary art process. The author comes to the conclusion about the relevance of the classics as the most complete expression of the nature of art that cannot be reduced to «museums» or «archives».
