As is well known any translation gives the flavor of the culture of the native speakers. While translating a text a translator has to face the facts on which the conception of linguistic relativity focuses and according to which the people don’t see the world as it is in reality but the world as it is described by their native language including the so-called «background knowledge» or cultural components of meaning. Almost all of the languages use, for example, the names of representatives of fauna and flora for emotional and evaluative description of a human being mostly in colloquial speech. These are called zoomorphisms and phytomorphisms. Hence follow the basic functions of a translator: communicative function, ideological function, metalanguage function and corrective function. The communicative function is the main one and all the other functions are used depending on specific circumstances.
