| The image of a sensitive hero in «The Letters of a Russian Traveller» by Karamzin is considered in the light of the concept of sentimental melancholy. The analysis of the hero’s attitude to the phenomenon of melancholy is given. Some peculiarities of comprehension of the aesthetic phenomenon of melancholy in Karamzin’s work are shown. |
