| With reference to Foucault’s concept of an episteme, the author puts forward a model to consider the history of 19th century Russian literature within the cultural universe, history, life and man being cultural transcendentals, i.e. paradigms of knowledge, structuring the body of culture of the present-day episteme. The analysis of the transcendentals' meaning and content is based on 19th century Russian classical literature. |
