The results of the theoretical analysis are presented of the flow of liquid drops through a capillary hole in the tank wall. The factors have been established that influence the drop rate of a liquid flow through a capillary channel. An approximate formula for the water leak rate through a capillary hole has been obtained. The results obtained can be applied to the theoretical analysis of the drip-timer metronome, as well as to the express evaluation of oil and oil product leakage through capillary cracks, from leaking valves, etc.
