A combined image preprocessing algorithm has been developed, which makes it possible to restore digital halftone images (DHI) with low signal-to-noise power ratio at the first stage, and to detect the boundaries of objects of interest at the second stage. The algorithm is based on the DHI representation by a two-dimensional Markov process. |
