| The problem of the interaction of music and words in the aesthetic space of Giuseppe Verdi’s operas is considered. The significance of his work for the development of Italian national and European opera is emphasized. The article also highlights the polemic between the two great masters of the 19th century opera (G. Verdi and R. Wagner), whose anniversary is celebrated by the cultural community in 2013. |
