| Basic propositions on the theory of multicomponent dry friction are presented. Distinctive possibilities of the using the fact of the friction multidimensionality in modern technologies are discussed. Special attention is given to the multidimensional character of the friction under conditions of point contact followed by inconsistency of its description using simple Coulomb's law. Some problems on rolling with adequate accounting of the friction are analyzed |
