A model of a vibroimpact device is computationally investigated in the report. A bifurcation, leading to the chaotic motions, occurs in the researched dynamical system. The bifurcation is followed by the appearance of a limiting set for chaotic motions. Characteristic equation roots of corresponding mappings in the neighborhood of the limiting set are determined using computer simulation of the researched vibroimpact system. It is found that considered mappings are of the saddle type |
