Closed model of a wind power generator is developed that describes dynamics of the wind receiving device and of the permanent magnet generator as two interconnected components of the single electromechanical system. A method for the identification of model parameters is proposed. Different types of wind turbines are tested in the Institute of Mechanics of LMSU and in Ching Yun University (Taiwan). Basing upon testing results, verification of the model is realized. Qualitative agreement of theoretical and experimental results is obtained. Parametric analysis of the model is performed. Within the model, hysteresis effect is described of the output power depending on increasing/decreasing of the external load in the generator circuit. This effect plays crucial role during wind turbine operation.
