Issues of motion control of a magnetic-suspension rotor are considered, a control object is described, a mathematical model is constructed, and an EMB control system model is described. Possible known methods of physical linearization of an EMB system in the assumption of the current-mode control are discussed, an alternative physical linearization method is proposed. Linear and non-linear systems are compared in an analytical experiment with reference to real test facility, and preferences of the linear system are shown.
