Abstract
The authors present some materials on the development and testing of assessment tools to monitor ecological competence formation in university students. The monitoring was carried out using a specially developed questionnaire to identify the main components of ecological competence in students' answers: axiological, cognitive, operational and technological, activity and reflexive. The questionnaire was tested with students of different areas of studies. The outcome of the tests indicates that the questionnaire can be used as an assessment tool to monitor ecological competence formation in students.
