| In this work, the author indicates the factors that determine the interest in the Caspian Sea region on the part of not only the littoral states, but also of non-regional countries participating in the "Caspian process" that has intensified since 1991. The article discusses the features of the geopolitical situation around the Caspian Sea and the increased interest in it on the part of the United States. The correlation of the US policy with the Caspian strategies of Russia and Iran is also analyzed. |
