The article analyzes the problem of socialization of school students in the modern world. The concept of intellectual basis of socialization is introduced. A model of educational socialization process is proposed. It is based on the ideas of the role approach to personality formation, the balance between adaptability and creativity in the process of learning their social roles by school students, the use of intellectual mechanisms for analysis and forecasting of the development of social situations and of the consequences of realization of concrete behavioral models.
