Abstract
The characteristics of modern instrumental multielemental methods of analysis of optical ceramics and its precursors have been overviewed. These methods include: atomic-emission spectrometry with arc electrical discharge, in a two-jet arc plasmatron and in inductively coupled plasma as a source of atomization and spectra excitation, and mass-spectrometry with inductively coupled plasma as a source of ionization. The methods listed provide easy preparation of samples for analysis and low limits of detection of various impurities. The techniques of analysis of Y 2O 3, Nd 2O 3, YAG, Nd:Y 2O 3, Nd:YAG, Li:MgAl 2O powders, Nd:Y 2O 3 and Li:MgAl 2O 8 ceramics, and Al(iPrO) 3 и MgAl 2(iPrO) 8 with the limits of detection of impurities at the level of 10
