This article presents a detailed analysis of Mahatma Gandhi's ideas on the state and the ways of its building. We examine the struggle with the British colonial rule through Gandhi’s life as well as the methods used to achieve India's independence. An attempt is made to show the evolution of Gandhi’s ideas, his inner convictions and people’s perception of his policy. We also address the issue of democracy in India. |
