Abstract
The article examines the plots by A. Tennyson and T. Mallory, as represented by English artists of the late 19th - early 20th century. Particular attention is paid to the historical context of the plots used. The author defines the mutual influence of figurative embodiment of A. Tennyson's and T. Mallory's plots that were reflected in book illustrations.
