Abstract
In this paper the new method of detection of laminar phases un time series of coupled chaotic oscillations in which two various types of alternating behaviour simultaneously exist is proposed. The characteristic feature of the proposed method is its ability to connect the phase slip with the corresponding type of intermittency. At that, it allows to define precisely the moment of the beginning and finishing of laminar behaviour. It is necessary to notice that the given method has also a number of advantages, i.e. it is simple enough for practical realisation and takes a small time during calculations.
