| The paper deals with the didactic system for developing foreign-language professional speech competence in students of architecture and civil engineering. The didactic system comprises two levels: theoretical-methodological and instructional. The results of the didactic system testing are presented; it is underlined that active learning is an important factor when developing speech competence in students of architecture and civil engineering. |
