Abstract
The improvement of electric power quality in electric distribution networks is considered by implementing 10/0.4 kV transformer substations with thyristor controlled transformers equipped with unidirectional current switches (TCT UC). A simulation model of a power-supply system with TCT UC in Matlab/Simulink environment has been built on the basis of calculations of the electric network parameters. The model has been used to carry out further investigations. An analysis is given of a TCT UC possible range of voltage regulation with a generator connected/disconnected to the 0.4 kV busbar.
