Abstract
The article analyses theoretical foundations of a learner- and activity-oriented approach to pedagogical support of first year students’ independent learning. It presents a model for structuring and monitoring freshman independent learn-ing through an educational website and outlines the factors that ensure this model’s efficiency in providing pedagogical support for young adult learners’ autonomy.
