The effect of second harmonic generation by laser radiation scattering on a spheroidal metallic nanoparticle is analyzed in the framework of the free electron model and a phenomenological description of nonlinear electrodynamic properties of the metal surface. Analytical expressions are obtained for the dipole and quadrupole moments that characterize the second-harmonic scattered field. The dependences of the scattered field intensity and radiation pattern on the incident field frequency are studied. |
