Abstract
The hydrodynamics of melts in the regimes of the thermogravitational, buoyancy and thermo-capillary induced and mixed convection is investigated. Calculations and experimental studies are done over the range of Prandtl numbers from 0.013 to 2700. Experimental researches are executed on the transparent fluids-simulators of melts in single-phase systems and at crystallization. The influence on hydrodynamics, integrated and local heat exchange, on shapes of fronts of crystallization of the relative heights of melts layers and the relative radiuses of crystals models is studied. The mixed convection is studied at various speeds of a uniform rotation of crystals for motionless crucibles and for the crucibles rotated in various directions.
