Abstract
The expression is developed for the maximum allowable entropy increment for a case of steady gas flow in a channel of variable cross section in the conditions of energy addition and the presence of the kinetic energy dissipation. The condition of the quasi-one-dimensional flow transition through the sonic speed is obtained. Examples of the flows are considered.
