The results of the numerical investigation of the effect of energy supply on the base are presented. A supersonic flow over the model of the booster head part is analyzed. Calculations were performed using the Reynolds equations with k-e and Spalart- Allmaras turbulence models. It is shown that in some regimes, a slight decrease in the base pressure may occur. However, in this case, the energy efficiency of drag reduction is very high. The modes of energy input to the nose with the increase of the basepressure are also detected.
