The experimental data and a review of experimental techniques used to generate tsunami-like waves are presented; the results of high-precision measurements of their amplitudes are given. The effect of air-bubble curtains on the collapse of the wave reaching shallow water is described. The up to date measurement accuracy of the changes of the liquid level is ±10 microns. An effect of the redistribution of the spectral density of the wave energy - scattering and transfer of the wave energy into the low- frequency spectrum - is found. |
