| The generation of three-dimensional nonlinear waves on a model viscoelastic coating in a potential flow of incompressible liquid is studied. The periodic nonlinear waves growing due to the development of the quasi-static instability (the wave divergence) are considered. The jump-like transition from two-dimensional nonlinear waves to three-dimensional wave patterns observed in experiments was revealed by the numerical simulations. |
