Abstract
Flows in viscous electroconductive polarizable magnetizable liquids in simultaneously applied magnetic and electric fields are theoretically investigated. A drop consisting of an arbitrary number of concentric spherical layers of electroconductive polarizable magnetizable liquids suspended in an electroconductive polarizable magnetizable liquid is considered as a general case. A spherical drop is a particular case of such a system. Uniform constant electric and magnetic fields whose intensity vectors are arbitrarily oriented with respect to each other are applied to the system. In such a system, the Lorentz force enforces the liquids to flow. Besides, electrohydrodynamic flow arises in it in a general case.
