An experimental study of stability and laminar-turbulent transition of the plane subsonic helium microjet flowing into the atmosphere is performed for the natural disturbances and for the controlled periodic acoustic influence on the microjet. The data on visualization of average and instantaneous flow fields has been obtained by schlieren method and PIV method. The characteristics of the pulsations of mass flow rate are measured. The nonlinear interaction of perturbations in the stage of laminar-turbulent transition in a microjet is investigated using bispectral analysis.
