The work presents the results of studying the dynamics of a liquid flow in a pipeline with an artificial gas cavity arising in a stream of a liquid as a result of blowing gas behind the cavitator and limited in the axial development by a local throttle washer-type hydroresistance located on the exit of the pipeline. The data of experimental research of the results of the revealed flow structure are presented. The mathematical model of the considered cavitational formation is given, the analysis of the liquid flow stability is presented. The physical mechanism of the selfoscillations is revealed and a possibility of transition to relaxation oscillations in the form of a sequence of hydro-shocks is shown.
