Abstract
Results of calculations and experiments on high-velocity impact of rods with the elongation of 12.5?30 d against targets are presented for different projectile-target density ratios. Calculations are carried out according to modified Alexeevsky ? Tate model, accounting for material viscous properties, as well as using numerical modeling. It was shown that deviation from straight motion of the target starts to appear at impact angles larger than 75
