A mathematical model and a numerical methodology for analyzing 2D and 3D problems of structure/soil interaction under seismic effects have been developed. A procedure for solving the inverse problem of recovery of the seismic load applied to the lower boundary of the analyzed region according to the accelerogram assigned on the surface is presented. Use of the specially developed low-reflecting boundary conditions makes it is possible to reduce the dimension of the analyzed region. The behavior of structures under seismic effects has been numerically investigated; the effect of various parameters of the problem on the results of the analysis has been studied.
