| Based of experimental-theoretical analysis, it is shown that the concept of accumulated plastic deformation (Odkvist's parameter), which is widely used in the theory of plasticity, is relevant for sign-varying loading only if this parameter is referred to its value at damage; the latter must be calculated depending on the mean range of plastic deformation during the process. |
