The gas-dynamic processes in a modeling pulse detonation tube, which operates on a propane-air mixture under external co-flow conditions, have been numerically simulated. The method of determination of the corresponding thermodynamic cycles for different liquid volumes of the gas mixture based on the gas-dynamic parameter fields is presented. The gasdynamic processes in the different work regimes of the pulse detonation tube operation have been correlated with the characteristic parts of the thermodynamic cycles. The obtained cycles for various geometric configurations of the detonation tube have been analyzed, and a way of increasing the effective thermal efficiency has been proposed.
