The motion of a double pendulum in a gravity field with arbitrary three-dimensional periodic vibration of the suspension point is considered. The work is aimed at finding the controlling parameters of vibration of the suspension point necessary for the stabilization of a pendulum at an arbitrarily set point. For the case of vibrations along one direction the solution was found analytically. The region of stable equilibrium position is determined numerically. |
