Abstract
In this report a classification of the forms of differential-algebraic models of multibody dynamics is presented. The classification is based on compact matrix forms of the of kinematic and dynamic equations of multibody systems which are obtained using the concept of a matrix of kinematic structure and the geometrical approach for describing relative movement of bodies. The uniform notation of the models is convenient for the representation and comparison of various approaches to modelling multibody dynamics.
