Abstract
The report presents the results of several years' work carried out at the Department of Theoretical Mechanics of Moscow State Technical N.E.Bauman University on the development and improvement of laboratory research complexes for specific sections of theoretical mechanics and the theory of vibrations corresponding to the current level of information technology, methods of research and conducting of the educational process. Information technology, in particular, allows mathematical modeling of physical processes. This higher-level direction presupposes the organic connection of mathematical modeling with physical experiment. For several years this trend has been successfully developed at the Department as to create a scientific complex, and to develop the educational process. Research suggests the presence of complex physical (mechanical) stands, software control of the necessary equipment, measurement and control of their operation, the computer and the necessary technical devices recording and processing the data. The developed laboratory facilities make it possible not only to mathematically analyze the physical phenomenon, but also to experimentally assess the adequacy of the conducted simulation. Also, a series of original laboratory instruments have been developed that allow studying the main theorems and axioms of mechanics, laws of friction and balance of bodies, as well as providing a more effective teaching process in higher education.
